These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Backtime (the "Service"), provided by Gotham Media House ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, an organization and its users agree to these Terms.
Backtime is newsroom rundown, script, and teleprompter software provided on a software-as-a-service basis. Backtime is currently in beta: features, pricing, and availability may change, and access to new organizations is currently invite-only.
An account belongs to one person; an organization is a workspace shared by a team. The person who creates an organization is its owner and can invite teammates, assign roles, and manage billing (once billing exists). Account holders are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under their account.
The Service may not be used to store or transmit unlawful content, to infringe someone else's intellectual property, to attempt to breach or disrupt the Service's security, or to resell access to the Service without our agreement.
Rundowns, scripts, graphics, and other material an organization creates in Backtime belong to that organization. We don't claim ownership of it. We may access it as needed to operate, support, or troubleshoot the Service.
We aim to keep the Service available and to fix problems promptly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law, Gotham Media House isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including lost data or lost revenue. This section is exactly the kind of clause that needs a lawyer's judgment for the jurisdictions Backtime actually operates in — treat the placeholder above as a marker, not a real limit.
We may suspend or terminate an organization's access for violating these Terms, non-payment (once billing exists), or extended inactivity, with notice where practical. An organization may stop using the Service at any time; deleting an organization removes its data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to organization owners.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to matthew@gothammediahouse.com.
